Maurine wove this colorful potato basket for a lucky basket lover last summer. She used twisted vine rattan for the top rim, and dyed smaller vine rattan and flat and round reed for weaving along with some natural sea grass.
Little Wire Basket
Maurine Joy took a class at the 2004 NCBA convention with Linda Sutra to make this beautiful small wire basket. She loved it so much, we're all working on our own now! This pretty basket is so small it fits in the palm of your hand.
Mainely the Ocean
This little free-style basket uses a 2" round base with cane spokes and a variety of weavers. It is decorated with beach findings, and continues to be a summer favorite at Baskets Of Joy.
Wacky Basket
One of Maurine's current works in progress, this dyed reed and wire basket also features a beautiful twill base.
